Last Sunday, I severed my distal phalanx and almost all of my top finger joint in an accident. A stupid mistake which will prove costly. I had great NHS care and am taking my 1-2% chance of keeping the finger tip. Whatever the outcome I have months of specialist care ahead to get back to a usable digit. It will never look the same. It will be my frakenfinger. So for a while I’m out of the studio and missing the joy of making. I have so many things to make, my head is brimming with designs but patience is a grace I must learn.
