Wagner goes Kubrick! Phenomenon that is Tristan und Isolde at the Met right now is a complete sellout and will go down in the books as a critical and artistic success beyond. Slide 1: curtain call following bows for @lisedavidsen @spikelmyers and @speedogreen in their triumphant performances. Set by genius @esdevlin Slide 2: this house so completely sold out and energy was palpable! slide 3: dinner anyone? Slides 4 and 5: I have NEVER seen a line like this extending to B’way pre-show. Congrats to the beautiful seamless collab of all the artists but mostly to @yuvalsharon_nyc for his intelligent direction that satisfied both the cognoscenti and those of us yearning for new ways to present masterpieces and of course @nezetseguin for the exquisite music floating up to the balcony. That pit! What otherworldly sounds… congrats @metopera Happy Hit!
