The Golden Hour of Self
As I gaze into Danielle McKinney’s Yesterday (2025), I see more than a figure at rest; I sense a woman reclaiming the sanctity of her own presence. Wrapped in the amber glow of her sanctuary, she earns a moment of solitude that feels like a quiet revolution. McKinney’s artwork often captures the precise moment when her figures slip into a tranquil state of peace.
Away from the noise and pressure that life demands, time to yourself is the highest form of currency that you can gift to yourself. Do not wait for exhaustion to grant you permission to rest. Your mind cannot breathe in a room full of other people’s expectations. Protect your light; the world can wait.
