I think you’re misinterpreting what “girl next door” means. She IS the main character. She’s the one the boy is in love with. She is everything to him. She’s kind and approachable and everything he could imagine in a woman and more. ❤️

Only if the girl next door is the main character..But i think they meant she's so effortlessly beautiful that gives you the "I'm absolutely gorgeous but approachable " vibe. I get it..but if she was my neighbor I would be starstruck every time she walked outside. 🥰

What are you talking about??? Girl next door is the ideal love interest. Shes not the sidekick. Girl next door is when guys refer to the girl they knew in childhood as like their first love, shed’s the epitome of idealized lifelong love.
