Today is the day You went to the cross for us. You were sinless, yet You carried all of our sin. You left Your heavenly kingdom to come to this earth and walk among us. At any moment, You could have called down a legion of angels and destroyed Your oppressors—but instead You said, “Abba Father, Your will be done, not mine.”
You took the stripes we deserved and gave Yourself as a sacrifice for all of us. All You ask is that Your children call on Your name, the Son of God, and be set free.
Thank You, eternal King of kings, Jesus.
Friday is here, and we mourn what You endured… but Sunday is coming.
