Do what people won’t today, so you can do what they can’t tomorrow.

Above is a quote I first heard in my early years of high school. It has always motivated me to keep pushing forward, even when life was pushing back harder.
Being in this industry — a world I’m truly blessed to be part of — sometimes feels silly when there’s so much wrong and hurt happening in the world.
I first brought out this Mexican flag because D*nald Chump was running for office the first time, and his campaign was fueled by heavy anti-Mexican rhetoric. On top of that, so many people were getting behind the hate.
This flag (the original one from the early days of my career) is the same one I got at a DACA march in Downtown LA. (unless my dumbass left it back at the hotel those couple times before the show …)
It’s been with me ever since…

By me doing this all these years was not just showing this fair skin dominated industry that what they were about to hear was brought to you by a bunch of Brown boys from the South Bay LA but also my way of showing the states (even the heavy red ones)
We are here and here to stay.

Much love, family ❤️
