“Fragmented Hope” was a collaborative devised performance for Jing Wang’s APEX 2026 Thesis about womanhood under dictatorship. On an inescapable island, how do women survive, resist, and hold on to hope? If motherhood is weaponized, where do women go?
It was truly a joy to work together with such marvelous artists from all forms and mediums and create this world and its characters. Clarice, wherever you are in the sky know that you are loved. To each artist who was part of this project, I feel ever so grateful and have learned so much from you. I hold you dearly in my heart. I hope to work with you again. To those not photographed: Allison (AD/Director of Movement) and Christian (AD) this could not have happened without your dedication and directing. You guided us to the stars. Thank you. To all others who took part in the making of this project: Thank you! To Jing: Thank you for having me be part of this project. It was an honor!
