2026 NYC marathon. If you asked me a few years ago about running a marathon I would’ve said it’s completely impossible. I had always wanted to and it had always been in the back of my mind, but I truly didn’t believe I had it in me. And now I’m a 2x marathon finisher 🥹 On Sunday, at mile 15, I wondered how I’d feel if I didn’t cross the finish line. I had barely trained, I was totally underprepared, and my body was literally seizing up. There’s no way I can finish this, I thought. But I hit that wall of sound coming off the Queensboro and it was like I floated outside of my body. I decided to just keep going until I physically couldn’t move. And then I was at mile 20. 21. 24. There was no way I would quit now. I crossed the finish line and I did it with my entire heart and soul. If there’s anything I’ve learned through this experience it’s that if you show up for yourself and trust yourself enough to be pushed past your limits then you’ve already won. 🤍
