i’ve been thinking all day how to put into words why Easter is so important to me. i wanted to write something perfect but now i realize it doesn’t need to be. here’s what i know and it’s simple:

because He lives, i can face tomorrow.
because He lives, fear and anxiety have no power over me.
because He lives, i have hope when circumstances seem hopeless.
because He lives, our mourning has turned into dancing.

Jesus is THE risen King. so powerful that He sacrificed Himself then defeated death, but He did so for our sake. because oh how He loves me and you.

i know He holds my future and life is worth the living, because He lives.
