Growing up I never thought that I would excel in the fine arts. I always thought that I had a better chance at athletics. This is gonna be so shocking but I am not good at athletics. Pop Chorus was easily my favorite extra curricular, and of course I loved art as well. I have grown tremendously over the last 4 years in my abilities and I am so proud of how far I've come. The Fine Arts program meant so much to me and brought me so much joy. I loved performing and I loved seeing what I could do in art. Although it was nerve wracking at times to get up on a stage, I wouldn't trade my experience for anyone elses. I am so glad I got to grow alongside so many other talented individuals. I've made many sweet friendships due to Pop Chorus and I am so thankful.
There wasnt a single end of semester concert that my family missed. They are always there supporting me in the crowd and I am so grateful.
Lastly, I wouldn't be the musician that I am today without Ms. Oates. She is the number one reason why I grew so much in my abilities over the last four years. No other teacher had ever grown that strong of a bond with me. I am so grateful for Ms. Oates and how she put up with my stubbornness and how she believed in me even when I didn't believe in myself. Ms. Oates is more than just a teacher to me. She's a friend.
