Very behind on sharing some
@highlineartnyc Channel updates. This winter,
@kameelahr had a beautiful solo presentation of “Keeping Count, annotated” (2021–23) and “disorganize the spirit, i” (2025), along with a new interlude created for High Line Channel. At the conclusion of her exhibition, I hosted her for an artist talk — we discussed her practice, black holes, Emily Dickinson, and Clifford the Big Red Dog (of course).
Next, we opened
@saba._khan.__’s solo show at Channel - including the global premiere of her work, “Leaking Ocean” (2025). Saba also joined us from London to discuss her incredible work researching the fraught politics of water distribution along the Indus River. In her three works on the High Line, she examines the diverse ways humanity attempts to control water: from the spiritual “glacier-grafting” rituals of the Balti communities, to the massive colonial and post-colonial-era dams and barrages designed to tame the Indus. Her show is on view for another few days - see it before May 6, on 14th street on the High Line, from 12pm - 10pm.
