Kedarnath Dham in Uttarakhand has transformed into a breathtaking winter wonderland as fresh snowfall blankets the sacred temple town and surrounding Himalayan peaks in white, creating picture-perfect scenes that have captivated devotees and social media users alike. Fresh snowfall on October 29, followed by another spell reported on November 2, covered Kedarpuri in a layer of white as temperatures dropped sharply across the region. Following the closure, the ceremonial idol of Lord Kedarnath will be carried to Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath, where worship will continue throughout winter. Authorities have advised pilgrims to carry adequate winter clothing, monitor weather updates and follow safety guidelines as temperatures continue to fall in the high-altitude region. For now, the snow-covered Himalayan shrine offers a spectacular meeting of nature and devotion, giving visitors one last glimpse of Kedarnath’s winter beauty before its doors close for the season.
