I think I May have finally found a good reason to restart posting about food.
Childhood nostalgia
On a hot summer day when one doesn’t want to cook and yet eat comfort food , this is perfect .Back when Aai made it I wasn’t too happy but now I know better .
After a busy weekend I look forward to Monday. Everyone starts a routine and I get the house to myself. This also means I get to choose what I want to eat .
Today was फोडनीचा भात ,दही आणि लोणच (not a traditional Maharashtrian one but my favourite)
Heat ghee in a Kadhai, fry some peanuts set them aside . Make a phodni with the holy trinity( as Saee calls it) a sprig of ghar ka kadipatta ,a slit green chilli . Add some chopped onion , sautée it till transparent, tip in left over rice from the fridge . Give it a good mix, cover with a lid and let it cook in its steam . Ready in a few minutes.
Uncover add the peanuts , serve .
What is your favourite ready in minutes meal?
I have to tell you why I think I may get back to posting .
A feed on Instagram that is honest , relatable, homely ,has the most beautiful pictures of food and home , great recipes , thoughtful writing and one of my top favourites is Saee Koranne’s
@skoranne That she responds to almost every comment on her stories and posts is the icing on the cake.
Not an auto generated one , one that encourages communication.
🥂 to her prompt
