6 months agoDid they test the celiac participants who avoided fructans and those who didn't?
6 months agoDon't worry there's so much cross contamination and hidden gluten you're never FREE
6 months agoI had this issue and nobody believes me!! I’m technically allergic (blood tested) to most grains but mainly wheat/gluten etc, I ate gluten free on and off for years, turns out regular bread and pasta is one of the safest foods on my gut even with the allergy, yet gluten free stuff seems to almost always kill me lmfao
6 months agoWhat if you have Hashimotos? Should I try to reintroduce gluten. I surely miss it.
6 months agoI don’t buy this either. I’ve been gluten free for years. I avoid most gluten free processed foods because back then they just weren’t a lot of options or they were not worth eating. My stomach pain went away, bloating gone and what I was calling early signs of arthritis gone. My knuckles would swell and were very red. That went away completely. I have no idea what my gut microbiome I like but I eat plenty of fiber from vegetables and beans.
6 months agoBlame the people just trying to cut out what makes them feel bad and then say oh silly you, you thought it was gluten but its only fructans. People dont really care, bc if fructans are in wheat/gluten then people dont really know what to do about that. Thats sonething that industry really needs to consider. People will just avoid gluten or wheat and that makes sense. Funny how these studies never investigate what industrialisation of wheat has done to our bodies
