Similarly, on my 21 C300C4, the driver side blind spot wire runs around the metal energy absorber behind the plastic bumper cover, and over time it chewed through the wire and shorted out. Malfunctions pertaining to Pre-safe, blind spot, attention asst, headlights, etc. Was replaced under CPO at the dealership I work at but crazy how one wire jams all communication

Had such an issue, no CAN communication on a GLE, turns out the transmission CAN wires to the VGS was a little bit too close to the exhaust, burnt it off and shorted the CAN lines. The car couldn’t start as it can’t recognize the current gear
