Offroader of the Year. First girl to win it in Ottawa Valley Offroaders history.

When I first got into offroading, there was always a reason I couldn’t join certain runs. Stock Jeep. No lift. Needed bigger tires. I had all of it. The excuses just kept changing.

The reality was pretty simple. I was being excluded because I was a girl in a male dominated hobby. That’s where my handle came from. Justa Jeep Girl.

Then I found OVO and everything changed.

I found people who actually teach and push you to get better instead of pushing you out. A group where you earn your place by what you can do, not what people assume about you.

Now here we are. Offroader of the Year in a club that’s been around since 1977 and I’m the first girl to ever win it.

This isn’t just about the award. It’s about the shift.

More women are showing up, building, learning and taking up space in a sport that didn’t always make room for them.

We’re not just showing up anymore. We’re winning.
