This poem was written on Orcas Island in Washington State as I walked out onto the deck one morning and stared at the big juniper tree that’s been growing in that spot since what felt like time immemorial… and I thought about all the weather it’s survived and how and why it was twisted towards Victoria Harbour in the distance…
