Here’s how I make the smoothest speed ramps 👇

Lower your max gimbal speed and increase the smoothness. (Makes it way easier to get a consistent motion)

Fly slow and smooth, using the guides to position your subject in the frame. 🖼️

Then in AE:

- If you’re going to stabilize, always do it first
- Pre-compose the clip and turn on Time Remapping
- Add your keyframes and create the speed ramp
- Ease Out on the first keyframe, Ease In on the last
- Use the speed graph to fine tune
- Set Incoming and Outgoing Velocity to 1

Then add CC Force Motion Blur, and keyframe the shutter angle so it only kicks in during e speed ramp.

I use this workflow in most of my client projects, and not just on drone footage! 🙌
