A food trip down memory lane - Firenze, 2024 🇮🇹

By the time we reached Florence, Rach and I had already slipped into that slow, golden rhythm of Italian life where afternoons stretch long, and nothing is ever rushed. La dolce vita had well and truly found us.

On our final evening we met up with our dear Norwegian friends svend and virgard for what was meant to be a simple, light hearted stroll and vino….or so we thought…😂

Between laughter and the classic ‘just one more glass’ a few too many vinos turned into a true Tuscan feast. Bold Italian reds and fresh,citrusy white wine flowed, chased by cold Italian lager, crisp, refreshing, and seriously underrated, alongside a bistecca alla Fiorentina, beautifully charred, melt in your mouth tender, and unforgettable 🤌🤌

There’s a moment in meals like this where conversation quietly fades, replaced by nods, shared glances, and the unspoken understanding that this is exactly why you travel. The wine kept coming, of course it did, we were in Tuscany! 🍷🇮🇹 🥂The night stretched on. We left full, pretty bloody wasted, and completely satisfied. Because Florence doesn’t just feed you, it reminds you how to live! Una notte vera 🍷
