Sook Ching Massacre • Time: February 18 – March 3, 1942 (two weeks after the Japanese occupation) • Location: Across Singapore, including Punggol Beach, Changi Beach, East Coast Road, etc. • Death Toll: 50,000 – 100,000 ethnic Chinese males (aged 18 to 50) • Atrocities: Under the pretext of "military screening", Japanese troops arrested, screened, and carried out mass shootings, live burials and beheadings; targeting anti-Japanese overseas Chinese and intellectuals.
