I visited two noodle restaurants while reading this because the food descriptions made me hungry…I COULD NOT RESIST 🍜

Yumi and the Nightmare Painter was such a treat! I visualized Yumi and Painter as Joo-kyung and Seo-Jun from True Beauty 🫰 hehe

no spoilers, just yaps if you care —

Yumi and Painter are two strangers who somehow end up spiritually linked to each other and are forced to alternate between each other’s universes. They don’t know a thing about each other and live completely different lifestyles...which I tried to capture the vibe of in my little edits!

Painter lives in a more futuristic setting while Yumi lives a life that almost feels historical and traditional, so it was exciting (and hilarious) watching them navigate their circumstances!

As usual, Brandon Sanderson always paints vivid pictures in my mind and writes in ways that have me feeling all warm and emotional 🥹♥︎

This has been on my physical TBR for a HOT MINUTE, and I'm proud of myself for picking something up from my shelf! 📖
