The final day of the Global Ismaili Health Professionals Conference highlighted the importance of community and preventative health, bringing a three-day weekend to a close with over 800 health professionals and 300 volunteers in attendance.
Keynote speaker Dr. Larry Brilliant, who played a pivotal role in the eradication of smallpox, shared insights on global health, prevention, and innovation. A fireside chat with Dr. Karim Damji and Dr. Gijs Walraven (joining virtually) explored global health trends and approaches to advancing equitable care.
Additional sessions included an ethics workshop on navigating complex challenges in healthcare and a discussion on the growing role of AI in clinical practice and decision-making.
We are grateful to the organizers and volunteers who made this event possible. It was a meaningful weekend connecting Ismaili health professionals from around the world.
