From college hallways to life’s big lessons. Grateful for the wisdom, the support, and the person who helped me become who I am today. Blessed to call Fr. Dolphy Dmello a mentor and a friend

October is a month I’ll look back on with a smile on my face and tears in my eyes. This month has brought joy and pain, some physical for me (Maggie in the marsh and oyster cuts as a result, massive burns from stupid curling irons and leash tangles causing wrist tears) and some emotional (standing over my mom watching her body try to fight a 105.6 fever is something that will haunt me until the day that I die). But, we lived to see November. We literally thrived and then just survived this month. And the longer I’m on this earth the more that I find I’m a student of that rhythm. We all are. If I’ve learned nothing else, and if I could pass on only one lesson from these 46 years on the planet, let it be this. No matter how good you’ve got it or how bad your life feels right now, nothing lasts forever. It never gets easier and stays easier. Happiness is truly found in navigating both periods of your life with grace, as much grace as you can muster, for yourself and those around you. That’s something I’m still working on. And, to be completely honest, I’m crap at it but I’m trying. This was October… (Never been happier to hear Mariah Carey at midnight on November 1st).
What an honour to attend the Emmys last night! Our baby, our Nat Geo show Superskilled was nominated in 4 separate categories ✨And although we came out without a trophy this time, I’m so thrilled with this achievement and so proud of our incredible team. None of this would have been possible without the talented people who put their hearts and souls into Superskilled. From all our local contributors and characters to our core crew and the wonderful folks at Nat Geo HQ. You are changing the world for the better and these nominations are all YOUR achievement ❤️ A huge, heartfelt thank you to everyone who has worked on this show over the last 2 years. @aiman.s.ahmed @claudiawantstosee @joshmonie @_amywarren @danbairdsurvival @livgwynn @natgeo (+ Tom, Charlie, Betsy, Cole, LeAnne, Rooj, Tommesha, Zach, Viv, Anna, Melanie, Tulani, Glenn, Chanée, Ryan, Rex, Yari and more!) Sam Guichelaar shared on X that he received a copyright infringement notice from Paramount through Starlink. He says the warning arrived just 2 days after he downloaded the movie Dexter Resurrection using a torrent. The notice asked him to remove the copyrighted material and warned that repeated violations could lead to his internet service being suspended or terminated. Starlink’s response shows how internet providers handle copyright complaints from movie studios and other rights holders. Source: SamGuichelaar/X
