This knitted throw has been my first blanket project ever. A year in the making, it became my cool weather go-to that I could pull out between smaller projects.

This trade-off system worked well because, although it was addicting to watch it grow and it was comforting to have a project in the works to jump to at any given moment, it was too big and hot to have on my lap in the summer and my hands needed regular breaks from the weight and big, repetitive motions when I was working on it.

I love the texture and the stitch pattern, which was diverse enough to keep me from getting bored, yet simple enough to remember immediately whenever I went back to it.
