January feels like it was just yesterday, and somehow we're already in November!

Remember when we entered 2026 with fresh resolutions, big dreams, ambitious plans, and the confidence that this was finally going to be *our year*? Well, life clearly had a few unexpected plot twists waiting for us. 💀

From January to November, the year has been a rollercoaster of unexpected surprises, random chaos, unforgettable memories, questionable decisions, and moments that genuinely made us wonder what was happening. One minute we were celebrating the New Year, and the next we're wondering how only two months are left before 2027 arrives.

The funniest part? Some of us are still mentally processing things that happened back in February, while the calendar has already decided it's time to start thinking about Christmas and New Year's Eve.

At this point, 2026 doesn't even feel like a normal year. It feels like 10 different seasons of a Netflix series packed into 11 months, with new characters, unexpected twists, and absolutely no time to catch up.

And somehow, despite everything, here we are, making it through another month and pretending we've got it all figured out.

Be honest, does anyone else feel like January was just a few weeks ago, or is time moving suspiciously fast this year?

24 Police Officers Attached to Presidential Villa Appeal to pres. Tinubu Over Nine Months Unpaid Allowances

Twenty-four personnel of the Police Mobile Force (PMF) attached to the Press Escorts Unit at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, have appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene over the alleged non-payment of their allowances for nine consecutive months.

According to Sahara Reporters, the aggrieved officers made the appeal in a petition addressed to President Tinubu, lamenting that they had been denied their allowances despite performing the same duties as colleagues who reportedly receive theirs.

The officers said the situation had placed them under serious financial pressure, leaving them struggling to cater for their families, pay house rent and cover transportation costs to work.

In their petition, they stated:
“We are here to write on behalf of some 24 PMF personnel, Press Escorts Villa, Abuja. We have not received allowance for the past nine months, which some of our colleagues are collecting, and we did the same work.”

Speaking about the hardship caused by the alleged non-payment, they added:

“We have families, relatives and children to take care of, but no allowance for a period of nine months. We are suffering, paying transportation to work and paying for house rent, which we depend on the allowance to do.”

The personnel further appealed to the Federal Government to look into their complaint and settle the outstanding payments without further delay.

Concluding their appeal, they said:
“We are pleading with the government to consider our complaint and pay us our outstanding nine months’ allowance.”

You do not get paid what you “deserve”

You get paid what you negotiate.
