@pvgcpr Gas Gun Stage 3: HUGE circle at 100 yards and a bowling pin at 300 yards. Engage the 300yd target with 1 hit from a tip, then engage the 100yd circle with 1 hit from standing unsupported. Repeat 2x. Finish by engaging the 300yd target with 1 hit from the cradle, and then the 100yd target with 1 hit standing unsupported.
This was my most disappointing stage, and here’s why: Prior to shooting, I made a mental note to be “extra patient” on the last standing unsupported shot at the 100yd target to close the stage. I did not want to get “buck fever” so to speak and start launching panic rounds. BUT THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I DID. I can critique my movement, or my lack of a first round impact from any of the positions on the tank trap, but what made me the saddest was I completely fell apart mentally on that last target.
I still ended up third overall with a time of 49.32, and the panic shots wouldn’t have changed that significantly, but damn it bugs me when I don’t execute my plan like I want to.
I want to give my buddy Dave over at @d.wilson_mfg a little shout out. His URX ARCA rail adaptors are freaking awesome. Low profile, fit like a glove, and allow the KAC URX guns to ride a bag so much better. It’s the best solution I’ve seen for KAC, and he also makes for LMT. If you own one of those rifles, you should pick up a set!
