I advocate for ending colon cancer because my first husband collapsed after we said our wedding vows in 1991 he was young fit healthy with no family history and he was given 90 days to live he died several months later in 2013 my mother died of colon cancer and I have had countless hospice clients die from this disease and now Trump has only allocated 1% of the budget for cancer research each of us that were there for our call on Congress met with senators staffers Congress members with a very simple ask please join our colon cancer caucus please sign our letter to make colon cancer a standalone disease and we were also seeking a grant ask for research for our veterans only 17 of the politicians that we met with signed our letter and people who were there last year fighting and allocating for this have since died. time is of the essence as the age rate is dropping so we must continue to bring awareness and seek funding and please make certain that you get screened for colon cancer. Stay Healthy Everyone 🙏 Lori Wharton
