BUT GOD! I remember them telling me there was so much damage to his vocal cords that he likely would never speak. And when they were finally able to take out his breathing tube it was nothing but silence ….. for days and days … no sound , not even when he cried. Then one day I heard the most precious faint sound of his cry ….. many prayers later he sings loud and proud all day everyday until I think my ears will bleed 🤣 but it’s my favorite sound in the world.
