Switzerland has some of my fav hiking trails and lake Oeschinensee in the Bernese Oberland ranks high on my list! It's an alpine lake with turquoise water surrounded by towering mountains. This is my dream hiking scenery! I was scared to finish it though because of the steep drop offs and scree in some places especially downhill. BUT I did it and overcame the fear. ✨Save and send this to someone you want to go here with!

📍Directions: 👉Train from Lauterbrunnen to Kandersteg. Take the gondola 🚠 from Kandersteg to the top. It's a 20-30min walk to the lake if you want to go for a boat ride or chill by the lake. 🥾For the hike, once you get off the gondola, keep walking until you see a trail on the left going up and that's the beginning of the hike if you take this route. Alternatively, if you're at the lake, you can also find a trail to hike up and even if you only go 1/4 the way up, you'll see beautiful views!
