We are so fortunate that our neighborhood museum down the street is the Norton Simon. I renewed our membership today. It isn’t a large museum, but the beauty inside and out is stunning. Ezzy sat on a bench and sketched while I grabbed a cup of coffee on the patio. Afterwards we strolled the different collections and talked about painters. To see her light up at the fabric tutu on the Degas ballerina, or get up close to the thick paint swooshes of Van Gough…. It is what slowing down means. I hold a membership so that the next time you ask me if we can get together, maybe a coffee somewhere? I will say, “sure. Meet me at the Norton Simon”.
