Longtime #ESPN personality Michael Wilbon is stepping away from the network indefinitely as he focuses on his health.

The 67-year-old “Pardon the Interruption” host announced the news Monday (Nov. 2), revealing he’s been dealing with multiple health issues in recent months. “This isn’t retirement, but it is a trip to the injured list. Hopefully not an extended one,” Wilbon said in his statement. He admitted that he ignored concerns from medical professionals and loved ones, including longtime co-host Tony Kornheiser, who had encouraged him to take a break sooner. “But I didn’t,” Wilbon said, adding that as one close friend put it, “the bill has come due.” He also clarified that his health struggles are unrelated to alcohol or gambling.

Wilbon, who has been with ESPN since 2001, said he plans to prioritize his well-being but has no clear timeline for returning. “The goal is to come out of it feeling much better than I do now and ready to return to sparring with Tony,” he shared. ESPN Chairman Jimmy Pitaro expressed the network’s full support, saying Wilbon will be welcomed back whenever he’s ready. Fellow ESPN personalities #AdamSchefter and #ScottVanPelt also sent well wishes, with Van Pelt writing, “Get well, my friend. We’ll hold it down in the office until you’re ready.”

A fresh morning indeed.

Happy birthday to you! @sagarparekh0111 ❤️May God bless you with everything your heart wishes for and more. Thank you for teaching me so many things about life, for taking care of me when I needed it the most, and for always lifting me up whenever I felt low. Thank you for showing me that there is still a world that is pure and genuine, where love exists without conditions and people can be truly good. Thank you for being someone I can trust wholeheartedly, someone I can be myself with and feel safe around.🤍✨

You add calm to my chaos, light to my darkest days, and just the right amount of sugar to my spice. You make life feel a little softer, happier and more beautiful just by being in it. Thank you for being the gentle, kind-hearted person you are Never change. I hope life gives you all the happiness you deserve and so much more. ❤️🧿🧿🧿

The plan from the beginning of the Maverick project was always to run the exhaust and wastegate out of the existing fender vent area. After modeling a few different versions of a top, we settled on this one. The area has a ton going on with different surface curves and angles so we’re really happy with the end result.

The tip is 3D printed 316 Stainless by @soulperformanceproducts and has V bands welded to the backside to connect to the rest of the exhaust and wastegate dump.

Thank you @grant.designs and @soulperformanceproducts for knocking this out in record time. They came out so awesome.

Now hopefully we don’t completely melt the mirrors off.

Come check the truck out in the Addco booth in Central Hall booth #23135 this week at Sema.
