Marni turns 👏 FIFTEEN 👏 in June.
We just did her yearly checkup and senior blood panel and, against all logic … she’s perfect.
Which feels a little unbelievable, considering this dog has been hauled from California to Oklahoma to California to Hawaii to Oregon (and everywhere in between), while her mother spent most of those years trying to make two pennies stretch.
And yet. She persists.
Yes, she’s got the back leg shakes now. About half her teeth. She’s mostly deaf, a little blind, and her feelings get hurt faster than they used to.
But none of that seems to matter. She still spins in circles at your feet for love and attention, then flops into the softest bed she can find and sleeps like it’s her full-time job.
She’s an enigma. A goddess. A smelly bucket full of minnows.
My sweet baby. My old lady. And somehow, still not slowing down.
