The interior is completely stripped, the wiring harnesses are laid out, and the Hertz audio components are officially integrated. Testing the sound staging with some classic Snoop and watching the whole system come together exactly as planned.
Every wire tucked, every connection clean. Still a long way to go, but the foundation is solid.

MY EYES FILL WITH SAND - “Kashmir” was written by John Bonham, Jimmy Page, and Robert Plant, originally printed as 9:41 on vinyl though its true length is 8:37. Recorded between 1973–1974 at Headley Grange with additional sessions and mixing at Olympic Sound Studios, London, the track features Robert Plant on vocals, Jimmy Page on electric guitars (six and twelve string), John Paul Jones on bass and Mellotron, John Bonham on drums, and unidentified musicians contributing strings and brass. The song’s genesis traces back to Jimmy Page’s conversation with William S. Burroughs, who encouraged him to explore the connection between rock and Arabic musical structures and even travel to Morocco for firsthand inspiration. Robert Plant later explained that the lyrics originally under the working title “Driving to Kashmir” came from a long, empty Moroccan road between Guelmin and Tan Tan, where he saw nothing for miles except a single camel and traveler, inspiring the imagery of a road stretching endlessly into a dreamlike destination. The lyrics reference distant journeys, an imagined Shangri La, and possibly the time of Rudyard Kipling, or the hippie trails through Kathmandu in the late 60s and early 70s, with critics describing the piece as “won over by the talk and song from tongues of lilting grace… whose sounds caress the ear.” Musically, “Kashmir” blends rock power with Eastern trance aesthetics, becoming a monumental piece in Led Zeppelin’s catalog. Page described how an earlier idea called “Swan Song” evolved into the final track once Bonham’s drum pattern locked in during early Headley Grange rehearsals: “It just seemed to come to life… nothing else sounded like ‘Kashmir.’ It was quite majestic, and it was just cool to be playing it.”

Only two songs in Led Zeppelin’s discography are credited solely to Bonham, Page, and Plant: “Out on the Tiles” (Led Zeppelin III) and “Kashmir.”
