In this week’s installment of the I Love My Friends sessions, Era Pope performs Those Lavender Whales’ “Fight Song,” from the 2013 release Parts & Pieces / Goose & Geeses. Filmed in front of the mural at the former Hunter-Gatherer building on Main Street, the series continues to honor Aaron Graves, his songs, and his lasting impact on the Columbia music community.

“Aaron Graves was always such a calm, loving presence in our community,” Pope says. “Everyone that knew him felt encouraged to be their best, to be creative, because of his influence. It’s an honor to sing his song for him 💜”
