Semoga ini adalah pembersih dosa-dosa saya.

When people say they’re not from Florida, what they mean is they’re from Miami. Tampa. Orlando. Jacksonville.

Look at the map. Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Orange (Orlando), Duval (Jacksonville), Leon (Tallahassee), and Hillsborough (Tampa) are among the counties that went blue. It’s rural Florida that carried Byron Donalds, the man who:

Voted against the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act
Voted to object to certifying the 2020 election results
Voted for the One Big Beautiful Bill, which cut Medicaid and SNAP
Voted against the law that capped insulin at $35 a month for seniors on Medicare
Voted against the Respect for Marriage Act
Voted against background check bills and the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act
Said “during Jim Crow, the Black family was together”

Now you see why Miami people say they’re from Miami, not Florida.

PMDD, or as we called her, Pam DD, almost took Amanda from me. I almost lost my person, the one who has always felt like home to me. For a while, it felt like we were losing something neither of us ever wanted to let go of.

But after Amanda’s surgery, Pam DD was GONE. Just like that. And I got my Amanda back. And that’s when I realized I never actually lost her. And she knew she never lost me.

PMDD is no joke, and watching someone you love go through it gives you a whole different appreciation for just how much it can affect someone’s life. I’m so incredibly proud of Amanda for everything she’s been through and everything she’s done to get to where she is today.

Even during the time we weren’t technically together, I was still her biggest cheerleader. There was never a question of whether I wanted to be there for her. I love her, and I have zero regrets about being part of her journey through one of the hardest chapters of her life.

More than anything, I’m grateful she trusted me enough to be vulnerable with me, to let me see the hard days, and to let me love and take care of her through them.

And now? Everything is different. We get to experience each other and our relationship without Pam DD constantly inserting herself where she doesn’t belong.

Through it all, we never really stopped being us. We just had a very unwelcome third wheel for a while.

Turns out the only breakup we really needed was with Pam DD. Good riddance! #PMDD #PMDDawareness #longdistance #wlw #invisibleillness https://www.iapmd.org/pmdd

Every moment of pure madness! 🎞️
