A California startup is developing a 7-foot chainsaw-wielding centaur robot designed to enter places too dangerous for humans. 🤖🪚 Called Threehalves, the robot is being developed by Satyress Robotics in Auburn, California. It combines a humanoid upper body with four legs for stability on rough terrain. The goal is to help workers operate safely in hazardous environments, including wildfire zones, collapsed buildings, and dangerous forestry sites. A human operator would control the robot using joystick-style controls. Its modular arms are designed to accept interchangeable tools such as chainsaws, drills, and screwdrivers, allowing skilled workers to perform dangerous jobs from a safer location. Even its unusual appearance serves a purpose. Cameras inside its horns are intended to help operators track its limbs and tools, while mechanical failsafes are designed to lock its joints if the robot loses air pressure or motor control. The project is still in the prototype stage, with no confirmed commercial release date. Its creator, Beau Gaston, says the goal is to protect workers from dangerous conditions rather than replace them. Be honest, if this thing walked out of the smoke to rescue you, would you feel relieved or terrified? 💀 Follow @longliveai for more AI, robotics, and future technology updates. Your nervous system doesn’t need a full routine to feel safe... The neuroendocrine axis (the connection between your nervous system and hormones), primarily the HPA axis, is how your brain and hormones talk to each other. When your nervous system feels unsafe, it signals the hypothalamus to trigger stress hormones like cortisol. These micro-moments of safety help regulate that axis from the outside in. In functional medicine, we take a both-and approach, not either-or. We address the mental-emotional, mind-body connection through somatic practices, and we use adaptogens and nootropics to support your system from the inside out. That combination is where I see the deepest relief. ❤️ These simple shifts work especially well for high-achieving people, busy professionals, and anyone dealing with burnout, hormonal imbalances, anxiety, sleep issues, brain fog, fatigue, and gut issues. 🙏🏽 Comment CALM and I’ll send you the nootropics and adaptogens I like stacking with these practices, plus an article on nervous system regulation. #artofbeingwell #selfhealers #nervoussystem #adaptogens #healyourcells
