Dear VDM,
First and foremost, I want to appreciate you for your humanity, courage, and the positive impact you continue to make in the lives of many Nigerians. Your commitment to speaking up for the people is truly commendable.
However, I would like to respectfully draw your attention to your recent video regarding the ongoing banditry situation in Oyo State and your intention to launch a GoFundMe campaign.
With due respect, I humbly appeal to you to reconsider this step for the following reasons:
Considering the fact that certain authorities may already be monitoring your activities closely, initiating such a fundraising campaign could potentially create an opportunity for your critics or opponents to use it against you.
Raising funds in response to kidnapzing or bandit-related incidents may inadvertently encourage criminal elements, as it could create the impression that such acts can lead to financial gains.
This move may attract significant criticism from members of the public and social media users, many of whom may draw comparisons to previous situations and positions that you have publicly opposed in the past. This could lead to misunderstandings and damage the credibility of your advocacy.
Rather than raising funds, I believe it would be more effective for Nigerians to collectively amplify their voices and put sustained pressure on the relevant authorities to take decisive action against insecurity and protect innocent citizens.
Thank you for your service to humanity and for always standing with the people. May God continue to guide, strengthen, and bless you.
Kind regards.
