God speaks.
What an incredible prospect.
Not only that there is a creator, but that we can live in an interactive relationship with that creator.
If true, this is something that should radically shape the lives of those who believe it.
And yet, unfortunately, so many of us who follow Jesus are light on experience and heavy on theory when it comes to the voice of God.
Why?
One possibility is that God is broadcasting on frequencies we’re not paying attention to.
Perhaps, while we’re looking for words God is growing flowers, painting the sky at sunset, or filling forrests with bird song at the first light of each morning.
Time and time again, in the scriptures and throughout church history, we’re reminded that ours is not a distant, disinterested God. Our God leans in low to the details of our lives.
God speaks.
The question is, are we listening.
