Dr. Haydee Brown and Dr. Sonya Sloan

Dr. Clare is making history as the first Black woman president of American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

A longtime and decorated leader, respected academic, and practicing OB-GYN stepping into this role at a time when Black women are still 2.5–3x more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes in the U.S.

Representation matters. Leadership matters. Outcomes matter.

This is bigger than a title.
