There’s a void in your heart that only God can fill.

I remember a time when I thought having “my own person” would fill that void. I used to tell myself that maybe my relationship with God wasn’t enough because I wouldn’t get to experience the kind of love that comes from a human relationship.

I thought that even if I could have deep heart-to-heart conversations with God, I still wouldn’t experience the soft, mushy feelings that come with being loved by someone , the feeling of safety, the comfort of knowing someone deeply cares about you and genuinely wants your happiness and well-being.

Even though that is exactly what God does for us, and even more, I still believed a human experience would satisfy that longing. How funny of me 🙈🫠

Later on, I realized I had been deceiving myself.

I came back in repentance, acknowledging that if God does not fill that space in my heart, no relationship ever will. I was expecting from humans what only God can truly give.

Some people think they will finally feel fulfilled through success, wealth, marriage, influence, or great accomplishments. But until God fills that void, nothing else will be able to satisfy the emptiness within.

As long as we are in this world, there will always be another thing to chase, another milestone to reach, another desire to fulfill. But until Christ truly satisfies your heart first, nothing else ever will.

Until He is at the center of your life, nothing else will fully make sense or ever be enough.

Let Jesus fill that void, nothing beats the peace and bliss that comes with it.
