There are billions of people in this world, yet no two are exactly the same.

Each of us carries something unique. Our own story, our own feelings, our own way of seeing the world.

And I think there is something truly beautiful about that.

We don’t have to be like anyone else or follow someone else’s path. We all have our own place in this life, even if sometimes it takes time to find it.

Because no one else can live our life for us, feel exactly what we feel, or bring into this world what only we can give.

And maybe that’s what makes every human life so precious.

Abdul El-Sayed, a progressive Democrat, won Michigan’s Senate race. He defeated former Representative Mike Rogers, a Republican, maintaining his party’s hold on a crucial battleground seat.

El-Sayed will become the nation’s first Muslim senator after he overcame opposition not only from Republicans, but also, in the final days, from Representative Haley Stevens, the moderate Democrat he beat in the primary.

Read more about his win at the link in our bio.
