Unpopular opinion: pregnancy skincare doesn’t need to be a whole thing.

I’m pregnant with my third and I’ve never completely overhauled my skincare routine. I don’t typically use retinol anyway, so that was never an issue for me. For the most part, I’ve stuck to the products I know and love.

“Pregnancy-safe skincare” has become an entire category, making women feel like they need to replace everything on their bathroom shelves the second they see a positive pregnancy test.

Of course, there are ingredients to avoid during pregnancy, like retinoids and hydroquinone, and certain prescription acne treatments that aren’t recommended. My advice? Talk to your OB or dermatologist before making a bunch of changes to your routine. You might be surprised by how much you can actually keep using.

Here are some of the products I’ve continued reaching for, pregnant or not, and a few favorites worth grabbing during the Sephora sale.

Comment SHOP and I’ll send you the links to everything! 🤍

Coming a bit late, but this was the last resort we went to! But when we walked in, we immediately felt a bit sad? 🌊
This, despite Le Meredien being pretty beyond our wildest imagination because we knew we would have to leave in 3 days. But it lasted only for a bit because it was time for the endless free Rose which was served at the ring of the bell, and God knows, we rang it quite a bit.
🔔
But the champagne at the breakfast came without the ringing of the bell and that was nice too, and it came overlooking the beach where we collected a botique full of shells and an army of hermit crabs. 🐚 we
We were the first ones at the pool at quite daringly colorful Au Soliel and the last ones to leave, because we got too good at doing nothing. 🏊‍♂️
And when you’re doing nothing, you want the breakfast to float towards you than you going to it. Then some jets were skied on, and we wrapped up our trip while the in-house astronomer showed us the workings of the telescope and helped us spot some stars. And when we did spot them, we thanked our stars because how else could we have experienced this? ✨✨✨
