Although I’ve worked on the Star Wars tv shows, working on a Star Wars film has been a life long dream. My father took me to see the original Star Wars as a kid and it’s the first memory of seeing any movie I have. Over the years when watching Star Wars movies I’d look at the credits trying to spot the Latino names who worked on them. I did that because i wanted to know if it was possible that the son of Mexican immigrants could possibly work on a starwars film one day…. Not a lot of representation back then. I was looking for hope that I can one day be a part of it. so yesterday when Seeing my name in that blue colored font that all starwars films credit scroll use. It brought me back to sitting with my dad and little brother, watching episode IV on the big screen. I was 4… i don’t need to look for the Latino names anymore 😊 also thanks to my dad for encouraging me and my brother to pursue our film careers.
