let me introduce to you: The Little Earl Grey. a holiday mocktail with a wild blueberry-thyme earl grey simple syrup, muddled blackberries and grapefruit soda โœจ wild blueberry-thyme earl grey simple syrup: 1. add 4 single serve earl grey tea bags to a saucepan with 2 cups boiling water. 2. turn off the heat and let steep 5 minutes. do not go past that time or it can taste bitter. 3. remove the tea bags to add 3/4 cup frozen wild blueberries, 2 sprigs fresh thyme, and 1 cup granulated sugar. 4. turn the heat back on to medium high. bring to a boil then reduce heat to LOW to simmer for 20-25 minutes, until reduced and slightly thickened. 5. let cool to room temp then strain and store in a glass container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. other ingredients youโ€™ll need: - simple syrup (above) - freshly squeezed lemon juice - grapefruit soda - fresh blackberries (muddled) to make the mocktail: 1. muddle 2 to 3 fresh blackberries in a glass. 2. add a few tablespoons of the simple syrup (depending on how sweet you like it!) then a squeeze of lemon juice (about 2 teaspoons) then top off with grapefruit soda. 3. give a little stir before serving. 4. we had fun garnishing with a dried blood orange and carrot green top! #holidaydrinks #mocktail #dinnerpartyideas #nonalcoholicdrink #mocktailrecipe

Best october with my best friends๐Ÿฅ‚๐Ÿฟ๏ธโญ๏ธ๐Ÿ‚
October is a month Iโ€™ll look back on with a smile on my face and tears in my eyes. This month has brought joy and pain, some physical for me (Maggie in the marsh and oyster cuts as a result, massive burns from stupid curling irons and leash tangles causing wrist tears) and some emotional (standing over my mom watching her body try to fight a 105.6 fever is something that will haunt me until the day that I die). But, we lived to see November. We literally thrived and then just survived this month. And the longer Iโ€™m on this earth the more that I find Iโ€™m a student of that rhythm. We all are. If Iโ€™ve learned nothing else, and if I could pass on only one lesson from these 46 years on the planet, let it be this. No matter how good youโ€™ve got it or how bad your life feels right now, nothing lasts forever. It never gets easier and stays easier. Happiness is truly found in navigating both periods of your life with grace, as much grace as you can muster, for yourself and those around you. Thatโ€™s something Iโ€™m still working on. And, to be completely honest, Iโ€™m crap at it but Iโ€™m trying. This was Octoberโ€ฆ (Never been happier to hear Mariah Carey at midnight on November 1st).
