Garden of a house i rented was similar to that where I moved in. I spent a fair amount of time tidying it up, mowing etc during my time in the property. When I moved out I left it as I found it. If a landlord isnt gonna clean it up before a new tenant moves in, why should the tenant clean it up when they move out.

It’s really sad! Also annoying how the ones who do this make renting harder for those of us who would love nothing more than a chance to maintain / improve live in a beautiful home even when they don’t own it!

We made it to Paradise Falls
It feels like a lifetime ago, but it was only 3 years ago when it seemed like everything was falling apart. In the same year, I went through a divorce, packed my life in Dubai into boxes and traded my home for a storage unit. I unexpectedly had to shut down the company I co-founded and spent several years building, and nearly went bankrupt taking legal action against the business partner who caused it. That same year, I struggled through 4 rounds of egg freezing in a foreign country, and had also entered a relationship that was slowly breaking me down (which I eventually began to understand was abusive). I was severely burned out, my nervous system was in shambles, I had hit financial rock bottom, I was living out of a suitcase with an abusive partner and no support system, and I had no idea where I was going next with a career I had poured my whole self into. But what I didn’t know at the time was that life was paving a new road for me. Everything had to burn down before I could see that it was making room for something better. What came with the re-build was far more meant for me. Far more purposeful. Far more aligned. And gave me freedom and fulfillment I could only have dreamed of in that past life. Which groups of voters swung furthest between the 2024 presidential election and the 2026 midterms, from the national exit polls. A group’s swing is how much its margin moved: Kamala Harris versus Donald Trump in 2024, then Democratic versus Republican House candidates on November 3, 2026. Each bar is that swing, blue toward Democrats and red toward Republicans. Voters aged 18 to 29 went from Harris by 11 points to Democrats by 47, a 36-point swing. All voters swung 12 points, from Trump by 2 to Democrats by 10. The chart ranks all 25 single groups (age, gender, race, education, income, party, religion and a few others) and leaves out combinations like Latino men, which repeat their parent groups. The scale stays the same for every row, so bar lengths compare all the way down the list. The number at the end of each bar is the swing in points. These are surveys of voters, not vote counts, the 2024 and 2026 polls were run by different firms, and the 2026 numbers are the morning-after estimates, which can move a little as the final votes are counted. Chile…buckle up. 😩 A Jackson, #Mississippi, City Council meeting took a chaotic turn Tuesday (Nov. 3), forcing officials to call an hour-long recess after Councilman Kenneth Stokes got into a heated confrontation with protesters. According to WLBT, tensions erupted after Stokes, who represents Ward 3, introduced an ordinance to reverse a 183-day moratorium on data centers. Things quickly escalated when Stokes accused a protester of speaking about his mother, prompting him to declare, “I don’t fight women, and I never fight them, but I cut that b*tch out.” The exchange appeared to involve Candace Abdul-Tawwab, an outspoken opponent of #datacenters. Stokes then turned his attention to Muslim protesters, telling them to “take the rags off your heads. Y’all are not Muslim.” Council President Vernon Hartley attempted to restore order as Councilwoman Tina Clay called for a recess.
