This piece is one of the most personal works I’ve ever created. With my sister’s permission, we are sharing her testimony of pain, resilience, and a miracle✨
The Doctors told my sister she would never be able to have children. She was prescribed medications that weakened her body and her health deteriorated. She suffered from fibroids: benign tumors that caused nonstop bleeding, severe pain, anemia, hospitalizations, blood and iron transfusions💔
Doctors recommended a hysterectomy which was devastating to hear. She chose to hold onto hope and preserve her uterus. After heartbreak and surrender, she underwent multiple surgeries, ultimately removing 21 fibroids and later traveled to Colombia to explore natural healing remedies. In 2025, at 41 years old, she became pregnant naturally and gave birth to our miracle, Santiago❤️🔥
What makes this even more meaningful is that we are a family of women. Santi is the first boy, the first nephew, the first son born among us sisters. I love you so much Priscilla ❤️🔥🥹🫂😭 Thank you for being such a light in our lives 🙏 I am so grateful everyday that you are my sister and to experience this profound love. Becoming a titi has been the joy of my life. The world is more beautiful because he is in it ✨This has changed me forever.
@priscilla_j_ayala This painting represents creation and ancestral strength. It is dedicated to my sister, Santi, and to every woman suffering in silence ❤️🩹 grieving, healing, praying. God always has the final say🙌🕯️ My sister would like to tag and support
@wecanwearwhite and their mission to raise awareness about fibroids, a condition affecting up to 80% of women.
