Digital Decay? Maybe evolution is a better word. I’ve been fucking around with apples clean up feature. What is it trained to understand as “cleaning”? How “clean” can the image get? How does this feature even process an image that has something slightly confusing about it? One of these pictures taken with pano one of them my friend with no body how does apples ai clean up tool decide what it assumes i want cleaned up with all of my budging and chipping away at the image.
A lot of spirals and waves and repetition ofc. The vibrations from underneath the image disperse the pixels of the screen. There becomes a point that my nudges with the tool barely have an effect. The ai becomes satisfied with the sections and will barely change anything about it. I guess there is nothing left to assume or everything repeatable is already repeated. Striving for perfection can just erode away at understandable meaning of an image. Blah blah blah
