We had 11 beautiful years with Miller. I never had to worry about him with the kids. Looooved to bark at whoever dared to enter the park behind our house. Enjoyed salmon in his dish or off the floor he wasn’t picky at all. Gave the sweetest toe kisses- reserved only for his favourite visitors. Looked like a menace but had a sweet heart for our friends and family. He will forever be missed💔

For most of Donald Trump’s second term, pundits have assumed that Republicans’ seemingly impregnable Senate map had the edge over Democrats’ lead in national polls. Now, with election day here, betting markets and other quantitative forecasts all make Democrats clear favourites to flip the upper chamber. Our prediction model is a substantial outlier. We see the race for the Senate as almost a pure coin toss, giving Democrats a mere 52% chance of gaining control. The Economist’s forecast does, however, give Democrats a 93% chance of flipping the House, with an average simulated majority of 234 seats to 201 for the Republicans.
