Maryland MTB (MICL)

Today our MICL family is heartbroken as we share the passing of Tyler Hendrix, a recent graduate of Kent Island High School and a member of our league family.

Tyler was an amazing young man and a huge part of what makes this league so special. The friendships, memories, and impact he made will continue to live on with his teammates, coaches, and everyone who had the chance to know him.

During this incredibly difficult time, our thoughts are with the Hendrix family, his friends, teammates, and the entire Kent Island community. One of the things that makes MICL special is that we are more than just a mountain bike league. We are a community, and we show up for each other when it matters most.

A candlelight vigil will be held at Kent Island High School on Tuesday, June 23rd at 8:30 PM. If you are able to attend, please consider coming out to support the Hendrix family and celebrate Tyler’s life.
