“Dark Shadows - Angelique’s Forbidden Ritual” (1968)

Angelique Bouchard Collins (often just called Angelique and played by Lara Parker) is the main antagonist of the original Dark Shadows gothic soap opera (1966–1971). She is a powerful, immortal witch driven by a mix of obsessive love and vengeful hatred for Barnabas Collins.

Angelique’s forbidden ritual, performed in episode 627, is a dramatic candle-lit invocation in which she summons her dark overlord Diabolos (the “Prince of Fire” or “Master”) by calling upon the seven plagues, hoping to destroy the warlock Nicholas Blair and have her own curse of night lifted - only for the ceremony to backfire when Diabolos pulls her into his presence, rebukes her, defends his subordinate, and leaves her still bound by the very powers she tried to command.

Detailed air traffic control recordings have now emerged revealing the final communications between the pilots of a Learjet 60 and air traffic controllers before the fatal crash in Florida on November 1, 2026.

The aircraft, registered as N722BD, departed from Austin, Texas, bound for the Bahamas.

According to the released communications, the pilot reported moderate turbulence and icing conditions during the flight. The crew later reported losing altitude at an alarming rate of approximately 20,000 feet per minute.

Tragically, all nine people on board lost their lives.

The exact circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation. The newly released radio communications may provide important insight into the aircraft’s final moments.
